Weekend Cocktail Club – Don’t Drink Basic

The Corpse Revivers are a family of cocktails that are meant for the morning after shenanigans of the cheeky-est kind.

Here is the “Corpse Reviver #2”

You might have recently heard of it. It’s one of the drinks mentioned at the start of the Brad Pitt movie “Babylon”

Ingredients

  • Absinthe, to rinse
  • 3/4 ounce London dry gin (Bombay works well)
  • 3/4 ounce Lillet blanc
  • 3/4 ounce orange liqueur (not the cheap stuff)
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed

How to make it:

  1. Rinse the inside of a chilled coupe or cocktail glass with absinthe, discard the excess and set the glass aside.
  2. Add the gin, Lillet blanc, orange liqueur and lemon juice into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass.

Simple to make. Fancy enough to impress the average person.

Tell me how I’m doing! It’s okay to provide constructive criticism. I’m trying to get better at this.
