Penicillin

With the holidays over a lot of you got a bottle of scotch. Hopefully it was decent (Johnny Walker or blended scotch does not count in my world) but there’s a chance either it sucks – or it’s not your jam.
If that’s the case here’s a recipe to perk things up a bit
- 2 1/4 ounces scotch you don’t really care about
- 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 3/4 ounce honey-ginger syrup* or <in a pinch> 3/4 ounce honey schnapps and a few pieces of candied ginger
- Garnish: candied ginger / lemon twist
Directions:
- In a stirring glass put in the scotch and honey-ginger syrup
- ***If you are going with the honey schnapps and candied ginger stir for a minute then slightly smash and continue to stir for another 30 seconds***
- Ice in + lemon juice
- Continue to stir 30 to 45 seconds or until at least half the ice is melting and it’s super cold
- Stain over fresh bourbon ball ice
- Enjoy – Prost!
