No More Carrot With These People – It’s Time to Drop the Hammer
***This is comedic satire – Wait until the end***
We all know that the United States is dealing with an immigration and humanitarian crisis at its southern border. Over the past 2+ years governors in the southern states have been bussing people up to New York City and recently there’s been an increase of crimes and violation from these peoples who I guess are here to stay.
Outside of the indigenous people of North America we are all (at one time) part of a group of immigrants who came here for one reason or another to start a new life. For the most part the American experiment has worked out and it’s idealism has been spread globally by our pop culture (Hollywood Movies, TV, Music, Celebrities, etc…).
Well for us living here the reality of that “streets paved with gold” idea about America is somewhat laughable but some someone else in another country with not much to lose that lie can be enough hope to risk their lives for.
So what can be done???
Well, with April fast approaching here’s an idea to stir the pot.
The border fence idea is expensive and takes too long. It’s also not a strong enough deterrent for people who can figure out walking around it, digging under it, or even getting some rope to go over it.
Insert one of our best American assets – Hollywood Action Movie People
It’s been a while since we had a really do July 4th Action Packed blockbuster. Let’s make one about this situation but in a alternate reality where the US aren’t the nice guys we try to be today. In this alternate universe we set up land mines and motion sensor machine guns all along the border. Then we get a handful of stunt doubles to try to run across and film blowing them up, which will look realistic – given the right editing and lighting effects.
For promotion we share the footage of stunt doubles getting taken out with the local news organizations and really lean in on the viral nature of the earned messaging and response that will occur.
Think of it as the opening scene of ‘Saving Private Ryan’ then transitioning into Arnold’s 1987 ‘Running Man’, with the raw cinematic elements of ‘Blair Witch Project’.
I promise you that will spread like wildfire and people will stop trying to cross.
No one gets hurt in the process and it might even save the lives of people making the dangerous MX-US border crossing.
Negative backlash as a result – guess what?
